Nology Computers, a prominent, well-established computer repair shop in Paso Robles has two new job openings: a lead in-shop computer repair technician, and an independent contractor for onsite and in-shop computer repair. You will be responsible for repairing all types of personal computers, consulting and recommending solutions to clients both in the shop and onsite when required. Other responsibilities include answering phones, organizing & maintaining the store and work area, and ringing up customers at the register. You may also be required to cover for another employee with tasks out of your normal day to day routine.
Above all else, customer service is our specialty.
Other requirements for these positions:
A high regard for customer service, honesty and strict confidentiality of information is a very important part of this requirement.
Extensive experience repairing computer systems.
Complete knowledge of all aspects of Microsoft operating systems; including but not limited to registry and startup repair, software installation, malware removal, and troubleshooting.
The ability to replace hardware in desktops and notebook computers including board, LCD and Keyboard replacement.
The ability to multitask. You will be repairing multiple computers at once, handling calls from clients and performing required tasking in our shop.
Must have insured reliable transportation and a clean driving record. Must arrive at work and outcalls on time. Professional dress and demeanor to match the services we provide.
Excellent communication skills. You must be able to communicate complex computer concepts to individuals who do not have the advanced expertise that we expect from our technicians.
Must have some knowledge of Mac computers. Understanding of iOS, Android and Linux is desirable, but not required. The ability to replace smartphone screens is a bonus but isn’t a requirement for this position.

The lead in-shop technician position is full-time, and the contract technician position is part to full time. The hours are Monday through Friday 9 AM to 6 PM. Your hourly compensation highly depends on your experience. Mileage reimbursement will be offered when working offsite. You will be required to prove your knowledge and experience.
